6 hour Full Day experiences are for newcomers or will challenge the more adventurous experienced dog ethusiasts. Please call to learn more about options: drive your own team; morning with a toboggan and afternoon use a double driver; or double driver full day. We usually have guide on each sled for at least half the day with plenty of driving time for you to be on the runners. A double driver has a passenger seat and two handlebars – 1 for guide, 1 for you. We can accommodate 1-3 adults or older youth. If you have been dogsledding before; you can expect to learn new skills, experience bigger teams, maybe even truck dogs to a different local trail system.
Availability is on Monday, Friday, and select weekends December to April. Usually the intinerary is 3 hours in the morning with a break for lunch (byo lunch or nearby restaurant) followed by another afternoon adventure. We include dog care elements like watering, snacks, and feeding along with preventative foot care, and gear basics.
2 New options for 2025/26 – start in the afternoon with a break for dinner, then go out after dark to run the dogs with headlamps we provide! Or, for intermediate and more experienced nordic skiers – skijor with one or two dogs in the morning take a lunch break and go out dogsledding in the afternoon!
Blake Cazier, our co founder and a musher since 1993, has received loads of praise for teaching and sharing his experience with the beginning to advanced elements of successful sled dog travel, winter camping, and mid distance racing. He has explored hundreds of lakes in the BWCAW, enjoyed amazing Alaska expeditions, and run races and travelled over 20,000 miles on snowmobile trails with sled dogs in Ontario, Quebec, New York, Montana, Colorado, MN, Wisconsin, UP Michigan, and Wyoming.
