Learn to Climb with Family

Looking for family-friendly Duluth rock climbing that’s great for children 4-12 years of age? With this beginner-friendly tour, we’ll introduce your family to rock climbing. We’ll give you an introduction to safety equipment, including harnesses and helmets, and you’ll see how climbing anchors are built. You’ll also learn to belay.

We’ll set up climbs that give your group the appropriate level of challenge as you take advantage of unforgettable photo opportunities and make memories you’ll talk about for years to come!

The Family Climbing Tour at the Whoopie Wall is perfect for ages four and older and The 4 Family Climbing Tour at Ely’s Peak is fun for ages eight and older. Bring the whole family for a fun experience.

There are no facilities at the Whoopie Wall or Ely’s Peak (no water, concessions, trash/recycling or toilet facilities). Please plan accordingly, bring what you need and take any trash/recycling with you after the tour.

Please note that all participants must read and sign an Assumption of Risk Form/Waiver prior to participation. Minor participants under 18 years old must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver on their behalf. A parent/guardian must be present for the activity.
